The Challenge
The biggest challenge was creating authentication without traditional login credentials protecting user anonymity while enabling psychiatrists to monitor progress. I also had to design for calm: reducing overwhelm through careful information density, thoughtful timing of questions, and intuitive navigation for vulnerable users
The Solution
Mapped user flows focusing on reducing overwhelm: flexible onboarding users could pause and resume, clear navigation, thoughtful button placement, and controlled information density. Designed dashboards, exercise sections, journaling (text and audio), and progress tracking that felt simple and supportive.
The Result
Though the project was discontinued after the wireframe phase, it changed how I approach design. I learned to prioritize user safety and mental well-being over visuals alone. The privacy challenge taught me to think about where user data lives and how it's protected not just how screens look. Now I design with the full system in mind, considering how the UI connects to backend decisions that keep users safe.
